This young lady did not like the heavy look she had developed over the past several years in the upper eyelid area. This concern is often heard by Dr. Freeman and is typically one of the first areas where the aging process manifests' itself. Often the problem is due to inferior/medial migration of the brow into the upper eye lid area; at times it is due to loss of skin fixation (what Dr. Freeman calls supratarsal fixation) of the upper eyelid itself. The former problem is corrected with a brow lift NC style known as an endoscopic brow lift. The later is corrected by a blepharoplasty NC style known as an upper lid blepharoplasty with supratarsal fixation. In this patients case a brow lift NC style was used which in her case was a lateral brow lift performed using an endoscope. Endoscopic brow lifts were pioneered by Dr. Freeman and allows him to offer his patients a segmental approach to brow lift surgery and to tailor make each brow to fit the needs of the patient using several small hidden incision in the scalp area. No hair is removed. Complete return of sensation is the norm. She was very happy with her surgery!
